If a medical condition or disability affects your ability to walk, a NSW Mobility Parking Scheme permit can make getting out and about much easier, and we can complete the medical certification your application needs.
Every application has to be certified by a doctor. You fill in your part of the Mobility Parking Scheme application form first, then bring it to your appointment and we will complete and sign the medical certificate section, confirming whether you meet the eligibility criteria. These cover things like loss of use of a leg, a condition that affects your ability to walk a short distance, needing a mobility aid such as a frame or wheelchair, or permanent blindness. If you hold a NSW licence, we may also need to complete a fitness-to-drive section as part of the same form.
Once we have completed our part, the form is returned to you to lodge with Service NSW. We will take the time to assess you properly and fill everything in accurately, so your application is not held up.
