We are moving to a purpose-designed practice at St Ives Plaza Shopping Village, with more space, improved accessibility and on-site pathology.

While our name and location are changing, the doctors, team and independent approach to patient care you know will continue.

Why is our name changing

As we are moving from St Ives Chase to Mona Vale Road, “North” will no longer accurately describe our location.

St Ives Doctors is simpler, clearer and better reflects the wider St Ives community we care for.

You will continue to see the doctors and team you know. Our ownership, phone number and independent approach to patient care are not changing.

Why are we moving

Our current premises have served the practice and community well for many years, but we have outgrown the available space.

The opportunity to create a purpose-designed practice nearby allows us to improve the patient experience while remaining in St Ives and continuing to care for our local community.

Our new home will provide:

  • A modern, purpose-designed general practice

  • More comfortable consultation and waiting areas

  • Step-free access, wide corridors and accessible bathroom facilities

  • Convenient on-site pathology

  • More space for our team and a broader range of care over time

On-site pathology

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology will be located alongside St Ives Doctors, with two dedicated collection rooms.

Patients will be able to complete requested pathology tests conveniently on-site, often during the same visit.

What does the move mean for my care

All appointments will continue at North St Ives Medical until the new practice is ready to open. Your appointment confirmation will clearly state which location to attend.

When we move:

  • Your existing appointments will remain in place

  • Your medical records will remain secure and available to your doctor

  • You will not need to register as a new patient

  • Our phone number and online booking process will remain the same

  • The doctors and team you know will continue to care for you

We will provide the confirmed opening date and practical moving information in advance by email, on our website and through appointment messages.

Our new practice is only a few minutes’ drive from our current location.

St Ives Plaza Shopping Village is at 351 Mona Vale Road, directly opposite Hassall Park. Look for the shopping village’s distinctive clock tower.

The village includes an IGA, pharmacy, physiotherapist and other convenient local services.

Location, access and parking

No change to our fees because of the move

Our fees have remained unchanged since 1 July 2025 and will not increase simply because we are moving.

Any future changes to our fees will be considered separately and communicated in advance.
