When it's relevant

A spot your GP has recommended sampling or removing, a cyst or lump that is bothering you, or an ingrown toenail.

Why it's worth a visit

Removing or sampling a lesion is often the only way to know exactly what it is.

How your GP can help

Your doctor explains what is planned, the cost and the aftercare beforehand. The procedure is done under local anaesthetic in our procedure room, and the result is followed up with you.

Who can help

All of our GPs can help with this.

Your questions answered

A few of the things people often wonder about before booking. If there's something else on your mind, just ask, we're always happy to talk it through.

Will it hurt?

The local anaesthetic stings briefly. After that you should feel pressure but not pain.

Will I have stitches?

Often, yes. We will tell you when to return to have them removed and how to care for the wound.

When do I get the result?

Usually within about a week. We contact you either way.

Ready when you are.
