When it's relevant

You are thinking about a pregnancy in the next year, or you have a positive test.

Why it's worth a visit

A few things are best sorted out before conceiving, including vaccines, supplements and any medicines you take. Early pregnancy is also when key tests and decisions come up.

How your GP can help

Your GP does a pre-pregnancy check, confirms a pregnancy, arranges early tests and referrals, and can share your routine antenatal visits with your hospital or obstetrician.

Who can help

All of our GPs can help with this.

Book with your regular doctor, or with whoever is available. Meet our doctors.

Your questions answered

A few of the things people often wonder about before booking. If there's something else on your mind, just ask, we're always happy to talk it through.

When should I come in after a positive test?

Within a week or two. Book a long appointment.

What is shared care?

Many routine pregnancy visits are with your GP, close to home, with the hospital or obstetrician seeing you at set points and for the birth.

We have been trying for a while. Can you help?

Yes. Book a long appointment, ideally together. Your GP can begin the initial tests and refer you if needed.

Ready when you are.

Book online at any time, or call the front desk during opening hours.
