Every chapter of life

When it's relevant

Feeling anxious, low, flat or overwhelmed, not sleeping, losing interest in things, or finding it hard to cope after a loss or a change.

Why it's worth a visit

These feelings are common and treatable. Talking to a GP is often the first step, and it does not commit you to anything.

How your GP can help

Your GP takes time to understand what is happening, talks through the options, and can prepare a mental health treatment plan so you can see a psychologist with a Medicare rebate.

Who can help

All of our GPs can help with this.

Book with your regular doctor, or with whoever is available. Meet our doctors.

Your questions answered

A few of the things people often wonder about before booking. If there's something else on your mind, just ask, we're always happy to talk it through.

What is a mental health treatment plan?

A plan your GP prepares with you that sets out your goals and gives access to Medicare-rebated sessions with a psychologist or other clinician.

Do I have to take medicine?

No. It is one option among several, and the choice is yours.

How long should I book?

A long appointment, so there is time to talk properly.

What if I need help right now?

Call Lifeline on 13 11 14 at any hour. In an emergency call 000.

Ready when you are.

Book online at any time, or call the front desk during opening hours.
