When it's relevant

You are unwell or injured and need a certificate for work, school, study or sport, or you are caring for someone who is unwell.

Why it's worth a visit

A certificate records your doctor's assessment, so the doctor needs to assess you.

How your GP can help

Your GP sees you, in person or by telehealth where appropriate, and provides a certificate that covers what is needed without unnecessary detail.

Who can help

All of our GPs can help with this.

Book with your regular doctor, or with whoever is available. Meet our doctors.

Your questions answered

A few of the things people often wonder about before booking. If there's something else on your mind, just ask, we're always happy to talk it through.

Can a certificate be backdated?

A certificate is dated the day it is written. It can state the period your doctor believes you were unfit, based on their assessment.

Can I get one by telehealth?

Often, yes, if you are an established patient and an examination is not needed.

Will it say what is wrong with me?

Not unless you want it to.

Ready when you are.
