When it's relevant

A new lump, a change in the shape or skin of the breast, nipple discharge or a change in the nipple, or pain that persists.

Why it's worth a visit

Most breast changes are not cancer, but they do need to be examined, and imaging is often the only way to be sure.

How your GP can help

Your GP examines you, arranges a mammogram or ultrasound where needed, explains the results and refers you on promptly if that is required.

Who can help

All of our GPs can help with this.

Book with your regular doctor, or with whoever is available. Meet our doctors.

Your questions answered

A few of the things people often wonder about before booking. If there's something else on your mind, just ask, we're always happy to talk it through.

When does routine screening start?

BreastScreen NSW invites women aged 50 to 74 every two years, and women can attend free from age 40.

Should I wait for my next screening if I find a lump?

No. Screening is for people without symptoms. Book an appointment now.

I have a family history. What should I do?

Tell your GP. Depending on the details, earlier or different screening may be appropriate.

Ready when you are.

Book online at any time, or call the front desk during opening hours.
